Are You Aware of Your Environment? is my third book, released in 2022 to show our appreciation for Ed McMurray, our friend, guide, mentor, community partner, mechanic, computer tech and all-round repair guy!
Ed has been coming to the ranch for sixteen years, initially taking training programs, but then sharing his skills with the ranch crew with his Knowledge Transfer Program. When Ed was diagnosed with prostate cancer in February 2020, we called on our global community partners to send Ed positive stories about all the ways he has inspired and mentored them. From this, the idea of a book was born.
After compiling all of these stories, another round of stories from 2022 and lots of stories of Ed's previous adventures at the ranch, I had all the content for a book about Ed, showing how he has a positive and long-lasting impact on everyone he meets. The ranch philosophy is weaved throughout the book because Ed embodies it naturally, it is in every adventure he has and every piece of wisdom he shares.
